API Basics

Q : What date format do you use?
A : All the dates-times at LinkCy will be represented using the RFC 3339 ISO format : YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ssZ
Exemple : 1985-04-12T23:20:50.52Z

Q : I've got an API-Key but when I try to use it to send a request to the API, the API tells me: You are not authenticated. Why might this have occurred?
A : Your API-Key (JWT) might be expired. Please log in again or use the refresh token to get a new API-Key

Q : How can I get sandbox credentials ?
A: Please use the "GET STARTED" contact form on our website : https://www.linkcy.io/ A LinkCy representative will get in touch shortly.

Q: How long does it take to be onboarded to LinkCy and get Live API Keys ?
A: It usually takes a few weeks, depending on the implementation you want.
Depending on the complexity of your project and the seniority of your engineering team, it can be as quick as 3 weeks and no longer than 2 months.

Q: What if I lost my Partner Credentials ?
A: Please contact your LinkCy representative to get new ones.

Q: Is there any Partner dashboard we can access to ?
A: Not yet, but we are working on it to offer a complete dashboard to our Partners and Endusers

Endusers

Q: What is the minimum age for a Person to be onboarded ?
A: The minimum age required to be onboarded is 18

Ledgers

Q: How long does it take to get an IBAN or Account Number ?
A: After validation of the onboarding by the Compliance team, IBAN/Account Number can be generated instantly when creating a Ledger.

Cards

Q: Can we choose between Visa and Mastercard for our card scheme?
A: We can launch you on both Visa or Mastercard, the choice is up to you. Depending on your business model, LinkCy team can advice you.

Q: Do you provide credit cards?
A: Not yet, but we are working on it.

Q: Can I customize my cards’ design?
A: With the support of our Design Team, you are able to completely personalize the visual rendering of your cards.
You can pick the color(s), pattern and logo of your choosing. The only element that can’t be tampered with is Visa’s logo.
Then, when you are happy with the result, it usually takes around 5 working days for the Scheme to validate the design before launching the production.

Transactions

Q: I have sent money to a beneficiary and transaction show an approved status, but the money hasn't arrived in the beneficiary's account, why?
A: Depending on the rails (not instant ones), it can take few days for the money to arrive (bank holidays and weekends might increase the delay).
After these few days, money should arrive. If transaction is declined by the receiving Bank, then money will be returned.

Sandbox

Q: Can I simulate Transactions ?
A: Yes you can create transaction using sandbox transaction endpoints (inter-ledgers, send money to a beneficiary) or use Sandbox simulator to trigger external transactions (card usage or incoming transfers) Learn More about sandbox simulation

Mobile App

Q: How can I benefit from the White Label App ?
A: We developed a fully customizable banking app that allows natural persons to manage their day to day expenses via cards or transfers. Ask your LinkCy representative so you can personalize it with your own logo, colors, designs,.. and provide it to your clients in less than a month!
